Projekt:

Biofilms and Biodiversity, Baltimore Maryland

The location of this project is the Baltimore Inner Harbor in Baltimore City, Maryland USA. The water being studied is part of the Patapsco River system that leads into the Chesapeake Bay. The salinity here fluctuates between 5 ppt and 15 ppt. Biodiversity data will be collected twice annually both fall and spring. There are websites where water quality data can be accessed that can provide regular readings, known as Eyes on the Bay, http://mddnr.chesapeakebay.net/bay_cond/bay_cond.cfm?param=wt&station=wt51
