The VIRTUE-s project aims to bring the unknown ocean world to the classroom, helping to create and strengthen students' personal relationship with the ocean.
Educational projects can be a powerful tool to promote the dissemination of ocean literacy concepts.

The final goals are:

• raise awareness on the environmental, medical, economic and social importance of the ocean to humankind;
• engage people to act on behalf of the ocean;
• create a more ocean literate society.
