Information for teachers

Welcome to the VIRTUE-s global classroom!
The webinars were conducted by researchers in the VIRTUE-s project. You were all welcomed to participate and in the final webinar it was important for you to be part of the review process. Depending on the situation, schools and student groups might work with different assignments. However, within the frame of all the activities you were encouraged to use some time for peer feedback. The intention was to produce a diploma for those students who participate both in the webinars and in at least two of the assignments.

The list of assignments provided, were ideas, open for adjustments according to your need and situation. It was your responsibility to work out the details for your students and to support them in the process. Collaboration at school level were done at your local, school platforms and scheduled by you, teachers.

You were of course welcomed to contact any of the VIRTUE-s partners for help and support.

Deadline for all student work was 20th of May 2020.
You had to collect and send all student work no later than 22nd of May 2020 to the course leader.

Lecturers were responsible to prepare and lead their webinars. We suggested this basic structure:
1. Lecture (20 min).
2. Students meet in breakout rooms to discuss related topics and questions (20 min).
3. All meet, back in the main room for sharing results from the groups and summarise (20 min).

The webinars were hosted on the ZOOM platform using the Swedish university servers and accounts. This means a high security and that students can join the webinars through a browser without installing any app or registering an account. The link to the webinars should be sent through e-mail, not to be posted on social media. A guide to connect to the ZOOM classroom were found here: /sites/default/files/english/zoominstruction.pdf
