Comments:

Disk material was Petri dishes (polystyrene, 85mm diameter). Numbers given refer to surface area of Petri dish (56,7, cm^2).

6 upward-facing and 6 downward-facing disks were analyzed and numbers averaged across each set.

(Additional disks were suspended vertically or "inside-out" to examine other effects. Here, only the "regular" configurations are reported.)
